Volunteer Opportunites
Volunteers bring enthusiasm and strengthen the position of this critical role by adding value to AMP. We could not do what we do without our community and volunteers. Not only do volunteers bring value, but volunteers help shape who we are in this work to fulfill our vision as an organization.
Volunteers are essential to our organization. Volunteers offer time, labor, and expertise. Some volunteers enjoy the fruits of their work when helping with monthly trash pickup or assisting us in setting up the annual Luminaria Celebration at Willowbranch Park, put on annually by Riverside Avondale Preservation (RAP). We partner with RAP and are grateful for the support RAP has shown us over the years.
Our monthly trash pickup provides a service to our community. It sends a resounding message that AMPs volunteers are proud to keep Riverside/Avondale’s Willowbranch Park a beautiful setting for families and visitors, but above all, to keep it remaining true to our mission to establish, create and maintain a living memorial to the Northeast Florida citizens who lost their lives due to HIV/AIDS-related illnesses and to inspire the many currently living with that diagnosis.
We hold socials regularly to keep the community updated on various projects. Please select the link to see our initiatives.
